Women’s Winter Wardrobe Essentials

Mid-rise straight legs jeans

Skip the skinnies and go for this classier cut in a dark wash. Straight leg jeans are very versatile – they can paired with loafers or ballet flats for a relaxed look, kitten heels or stilettos for a dressier look, and even tucked into long boots in winter. Choosing a dark wash means you can dress them up or down.

A fitted blazer

A fitted blazer immediately makes a slightly relaxed outfit look for formal. It can be work with a camisole and skirt at the office, or paired with dark jeans and a white tee. Choose one that is snug, but not tight, and ends at the hips. Black is the most versatile color choice.

Cardigans are great year-round. They are the perfect cover-up for spring and fall (and those rare chilly evenings in summer), and layer well for winter. A cardigan that fits just above the hips creates a chic look, and longer cardigans work well with jeans or fitted pants.

Cropped ‘biker’ jacket

This can be either real or fake leather. What is most important is the fit. This should fit well at the waist. A good quality biker jacket will last years, and will go with anything you own.

Tall Boots

The right boots will bring your entire outfit together – in addition to keeping your feet warm!

Cashmere Sweater

This is not relegated for the ‘twinset and pearls’ ladies. A cashmere sweater is very stylish and can be worn in a variety of ways. Dress it up with a pencil skirt, go smart and sophisticated with an oxford shirt, or go smart-casual with a pair of dark-wash jeans.

Trench Coat

Avoid getting too cold and wet by covering up your stylish winter outfit with a classic trench coat. Versatile color options are camel, cream, and black. Some are also water and snow proof.
